In TestFlight · iOS launching soon

Offroad navigationby riders, for riders.

Adventure motorcycle GPS that's built for the dirt. Plan the line on a calm web planner, whether that's the Trans Euro Trail, your own GPX, or routed hops between waypoints. Then ride it on iOS with turn-by-turn cues that work where signal doesn't. No data selling, no ad trackers, and prices locked for life.

No spam. One email when iOS hits the App Store. Unsubscribe with one click.

Don't want to wait? Try the planner right now, no account needed, and Founder pricing (€3 a month, locked for life) is still open for the first 100 riders.

Roostline iOS riding screen with route line, off-route warning, ETA, speed, recenter and pause controls

I'm Quinten. I ride offroad. I write software.

I built Roostline because the apps I was using on the bike kept doing things I didn't want them doing. Selling segment data. Monetising user-drawn trails. Pulling features riders had already paid for.

So I built the one I'd want to use. The map I plan with doesn't push ads at me. The recording doesn't get auctioned to insurers. The price I sign up at doesn't change next year. Things that should be table stakes, but somehow aren't.

Roostline isn't venture-backed. There's no growth team, no data team, no monetisation deck. There's me, a bike, and a backlog of features riders keep asking for. If you ride offroad and you're tired of being the product, this is for you.

What you get

Plan on the web. Ride on iOS. Share with the community.

The two halves of Roostline are built for what they're good at. A wide, mouse-driven planner for the desk. A focused, on-device navigator for the bike.

The planner

Build a route three ways: routed segments between waypoints, GPX import, or hand-drawn lines through bits the router won't touch. Mix them in the same route.

On-device riding

Open the route on iOS, tap Ride. Turn-by-turn cues, GPS recording, speed-limit warnings. Tiles you've previewed keep rendering when you lose signal.

Built for patchy signal

Rides record even when you're out of coverage and upload when you're back. Cached tiles render offline. Sync is best-effort, not all-or-nothing.

What I will never do

These commitments are falsifiable. If I break one, you have my email at the bottom of the page.

  • Sell your location, your rides, or your routes. Not to insurers, not to ad networks, not to data brokers.

  • Train AI models on your private rides or routes.

  • Share your rides with anyone you didn't pick yourself.

  • Change the deal on you. Lock in once, your rate is your rate for life.

Pricing

You pay for the app, so you're not the product.

Big-tech apps are free because you are the product. Your location, your habits, your trails, all auctioned downstream to insurers, ad networks, and whoever else pays. I'm tired of being the inventory, and I bet you are too.

Roostline is free today because I cover the hosting myself while it's small. When subscriptions launch, you pay a few euros a month and that's the entire business model. No ad deals, no data partnerships. You're the customer, the way it used to work.
